“I think it’s important to show the entire medical community that we work together as a cohesive team and can support to each other in multiple facets. Being a part of PT for Heroes is allowing me and my team the opportunity to directly and immediately help those on the front lines of the Covid-19 battle. We consider it an honor and privilege to provide them with the care they need so they can continue their mission to help others.”
“Thank you for this opportunity to support some of the hardest working people I know in healthcare. My first job as a PT was in a rehabilitation hospital and I was lucky enough to make friends with so many people working in so many different departments. I’ve been out of the hospital for quite a few years now to focus on growing my own practice, but I will never forget the laughs, the hustle, and the satisfaction of working at that hospital. Whether it’s the top physicians representing the hospital or the volunteer who is making my patients smile, I appreciated the staff then and even more now. I have a world of respect for all of the PTs, OTs, SLPs, nurses, maintenance, housekeeping, food services, etc going through this pandemic. Hopefully I can offer my services as a thank you to them.”
“As the founder of Oasis Physical Therapy, I am deeply saddened by all we have come to witness with this insidious virus and how it is impacting our families, our communities and the way we live our lives. What we as local small businesses are facing are both unprecedented and daunting, but I am encouraged when I learn of moments of happiness in everyday acts of courage, kindness and love. Although these times are challenging times for all of us, I am optimistic that our community will thrive again one day soon. As we watch the news it is clear that we need to support our healthcare workers and community caregivers who are on the frontlines working to care for those most affected by this illness. To serve these workers we have joined with PT For Heroes to offer FREE Telehealth visits to them. With this initiative, started by Hands On Diagnostics, our goal is simple – we want to support the frontline heroes who are working tirelessly to protect our community. At Oasis Physical therapy, our purpose for existence remains the same – We exist to create a world filled with highly functioning, passion filled, disease free people. As physical therapists with direct access, we are able to see our patients without a referral for musculoskeletal and physical movement disorders. In so doing, we will also support our local healthcare workers by keeping down the traffic in local emergency rooms and urgent care centers.”
“As the co-owner of Midtown East PT I was so elated to have our practice be a small part of something so special like PT for Heroes. The medical community has been forced to step-up like never before. Doctors, Nurses, Ancillary staff risk their lives everyday to make sure that COVID 19 claims as little lives as possible. Although the Midtown East PT team is nowhere close to the battle grounds that these heroes call home day after day, I feel the least we can do as members of the medical profession is to give any help no matter how small or trivial to ensure that these courageous men and women are allowed to fight the good fight.”
“Thank you Hands-on PT for this opportunity! Zarina and I couldn’t be happier to participate in this program. Our practice has been built on the rewarding experience of helping others, especially those with difficult to treat conditions in our pelvic floor department. It is taxing in itself to deal with a chronic illness or condition where treatment is scarce, let alone chronic pain and the inability to address it. For those on the front lines who fall into this category and are putting their health to the side, we want them to know that we are here for them. We can’t begin to imagine what it must feel like for these professionals to be on the front lines saving lives or coping with the losses – what a massive undertaking that is in itself. We recognize the even bigger sacrifices that are being made with regards to family & health. It’s an honor to have the chance to give back to our medical community, even if it only takes the smallest of burdens off of their shoulders so they can continue to focus on COVID-19 patients.”
